Implementing the authorization concept in the FIORI interface
Here, the authorizations are either derived from the role menu (through the authorization default values (transaction SU24) or can also be edited manually in expert mode. The individual authorization objects are divided into object classes. For example, the object class AAAB (cross-application authorization objects) contains the authorization object S_TCODE (transaction code check at transaction start) with the authorization field value TCD (transaction code).
If there are no buttons for copying and pasting in the PFCG transaction, you can simply insert them. Only seven lines are displayed in the dialogue box to maintain field values to properties in transaction PFCG. Up to now it was not possible to insert more than these seven lines at once from the clipboard. However, this may often be necessary in the context of the maintenance of permissions, for example if you want to use entries from other roles. Far more damage, however, can be caused by too extensive authorizations. For example, an employee may be authorized to access data for which he or she is not authorized. In the worst case, criminal activity can cause economic damage. To prevent this, an authorization concept must be in place that describes how authorizations are to be created and assigned to users.
The SAP authorization concept also maps the organization of authorizations within the SAP system. The organizational structure defines responsibilities and the authorization hierarchy, while the process organization specifies process steps and the activities and authorization objects required for them in SAP. The authorization concept must therefore be flexible enough to allow future changes in the organization to be implemented quickly and in compliance with the rules.
