In order for these FIORI apps/tiles and groups to be displayed, the corresponding authorizations must be made on the basis of a group and catalog assignment. These are assigned via specific groups, which in addition to the normal authorizations (such as create, change, display cost centers) also assign access to the appropriate FIORI Apps.

The SAP authorization concept ensures that no unauthorized access can be made to transactions, programs and services in SAP systems. To call up business objects or execute transactions in the SAP system, a user therefore requires the appropriate authorizations. When called, the application started via a transaction checks whether the authorization exists and whether the user is allowed to perform the selected operation.

The ABAP authorization concept protects transactions, programs and services in SAP systems against unauthorized access. Based on the authorization concept, the administrator assigns authorizations to users that determine which actions a user is allowed to perform in the SAP system after logging on to the system and being authenticated.

A user trace is therefore also a trace over a longer period of time. Currency of the trace execution, the authorization check is recorded exactly once for each user.

"Shortcut for SAP systems" is a tool that enables the assignment of authorizations even if the IdM system fails.
