Security within the development system
To release jobs - own jobs or jobs of other users - a permission for the object S_BTCH_JOB with the expression JOBACTION = RELE is still required. In running operations, scheduled batch jobs may be cancelled because a step user is deleted or locked. With the help of the BTCAUX09 programme, you can check jobs as an administrator to see if they can be cancelled in the future. If you want to run these jobs under another step user, you can change them either with the transaction SM37 or with the report BTC_MASS_JOB_CHANGE.

Small companies would theoretically benefit from an authorization tool. However, in many cases the tools are too costly, so the cost-benefit ratio is usually not given.
Rebuilding the authorization concept
Permissions profiles are transported in the standard (since release 4.6C) with the roles. If you do not want to do this, you have to stop the data export in the source system by the control entry PROFILE_TRANSPORT = NO. The profiles must then be created by mass generation before the user logs are matched in the target system. This can be done via transaction SUPC.

Employees should only be able to access data relevant to their work, country or accounting area in tables? Set up organisational criteria to ensure this. Do you want users to be able to read or maintain specific tables, but only have access to the table contents that are relevant to them? The S_TABU_DIS and S_TABU_NAM permissions objects allow you to access the tables, but if you want a user to see or maintain only parts of the table, these authorization objects will reach their limits.

Secure your go-live additionally with "Shortcut for SAP systems". You can assign necessary SAP authorizations quickly and easily directly in the system.

Structural authorizations work with SAP HCM Organizational Management and define who can be seen, but not what can be seen.

This makes it easier to summarise permissions because it is difficult to keep track of the assigned permissions.
